Natural Vs. Organic Products

Natural Vs. Organic Products.

Hiya, lets break this down quickly! What is the difference between Natural and Organic?

Natural: Existing in or caused by nature, not man made or caused  by humankind

Organic: Produced or involving production without artifical agents.

Now that we know the definitions. What does this mean in hair care? The words have different meaning when applied to hair products.

Natural (Hair Products): This term is NOT regulated by the FDA. Hair products can be labeled natural even if only one ingredient is natural.

Organics (Hair Products): Products free of synthetic additives and no genetic engineering is present. A USDA seal means that 95% or more of the product is organic.

Tip! Always Check the ingredient list! The first ingredient always has the highest percent of the product. The last ingredient makes up the least.

Try to stay away from products that have lots of ingredients. The more ingredients a product has the more likely those ingredients are not organic., You can also use the guidance of companies like Leaping Bunny to make safe choice for yourself and environment.
